The Line of Clermond-Ferrand is 50cm long. It is cut in a 1.5mm thick sheet of steel and then finished in black. The town is situated at the bottom of the Chaîne des Puys, a mountain that was listed UNESCO World Heritage Sites in July 2018. In the local language, the Chaîne des Puys is called Linha de los Pueis. It counts 80 volcanoes, including the Puy de Dôme (1465 metres ≈ 1 mile), which, at the centre, clearly overlooks the neighbouring summits.
The Line depicted the skyline of Clermont-Ferrand as seen from Montjuzet Park.
It is wrapped up in a nice cardboard box, including 3 black nails of course!
